We offer two types for pregnant women. The first is a traditional Swedish massage performed face down/up on a table that is specially designed to accommodate a pregnant woman’s body. The second is a massage specifically designed to meet the needs of a woman’s changing body during her pregnancy, performed by a therapist certified in Nurturing the Mother® (NTM) Prenatal Massage. The mother-to-be is comfortably supported by pillows as she lies on her side to allow better blood flow and reduce undue stress on joints, nerves and major arteries. NTM is designed by an obstetric massage specialist to target the common areas of complaint during pregnancy, including pain in the lower back and hips, shoulders and neck, and abdomino-pelvic area. NTM also offers massage for fertility/pre-conception, labor and delivery, postpartum and newborns and infants.

Chiropractic is the philosophy, science and art of diagnosing and correcting vertebral subluxations. When the vertebrae of the spine become misaligned through trauma, tension or toxins, two major consequences will result: the range of motion becomes limited and spinal nerves emerging from the spinal cord are compromised. Chiropractors use the term "subluxation" to describe such disruptions. Interruption of nerve flow can eventually lead to pain, disability, and an overall decrease in the quality of life. Conversely, the removal of that interference has been shown to have significant, lasting health benefits. Through the adjustment of the subluxation, the doctor of chiropractic endeavors to restore normal nerve expression. The body is then able to respond appropriately to any imbalance in the system, thus relieving symptoms and restoring health.
Dr. Christine Zorad utilizes a gentle adjusting technique that is focused on long-term health and prevention as well as on relieving physical pain and addressing physical issues.
